Dr. Peter K. Cocolis, Jr., a native of the Springfield area, received a BS in Chemistry from The College of William and Mary.
Dr. Cocolis is a distinguished graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed two years of advanced general dental training at the University of Virginia, where he served as chief resident. He is a Fellow with the Misch Implant Institute; Diplomate in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and also participates in numerous continuing education courses.
Dr. Cocolis is a Master with the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, Implant Society of Northern Virginia, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation (DOCS) and has published two research papers in Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry.® Consistently recognized as a “Top Dentist” in both the Washingtonian Magazine and Northern Virginia Magazine, Dr. Cocolis is also honored to be included in the “The Best Dentists in America” – a guide to excellence in the dental profession.
Dr. Cocolis served as President of the West Springfield Rotary Club for 2005 and 2006. He received the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce “Corporate Citizen of the Year” award for 2007. He served as President of the Northern Virginia Dental Society for 2013-2014. Dedicated to maintaining excellence in his profession, he is a member of the Seattle Study Club. An avid Washington Nationals baseball fan and youth baseball and softball supporter, he resides in the area with his wife, Becky, son, PK and daughter, Rachel.
