Every time I go to Dr. Cocolis, whether for a routine dental hygiene visit or a more involved visit, I feel that I am extremely well taken care of, from beginning to end. I started using Dr Cocolis about 6 months ago and wish I had started sooner. I’m no fan of dental work but this is actually a pleasant experience, and I’ve had some major work done (extractions, temp implants, root canals). The staff are all wonderfully personable and so is Dr C. More importantly they are all masters of their craft and explain everything very thoroughly. Dental insurance isn’t what it used to be but I still leave this office pleasantly surprised every time. More worth it than I can put into words, I am very thankful to have Dr C as my dentist.

Dr. Cocolis and his staff are ALWAYS very friendly, timely, and supportive. The laser process for doing fillings without needing to be numbed is GREAT. My 20 yr old and I both feel very comfortable with the care. She has been going on her own for appts for 3 years now. I am planning to do Invisalign — to improve my bite and MUCH prefer thinking about this w Dr. Cocolis than finding an orthodontist! Dr. Cocolis also takes time to talk his patients and get to know them!

I went to see Dr. Cicolis for a consultation to get a second opinion because I have a lot of dental work to be done. I was extremely impressed with everything about his dental office. Everyone was very kind and was very informed and knowledgeable and explained things so it was all understandable. A truly great experience at a dental office. I continued with Dr. Cicolis for 6 more crown that I needed and he is the best, kindest dentist I've ever had. His office is amazing and I'm so glad that I've used him.

This appointment was for my 89 year mom. I started bringing her to Dr. Cocolis about 4 years ago when she moved to the DC area. I knew Dr. C and his team would be the right fit for her dental needs since my husband, daughter and I have been going to him for over 20 years. Mom loves Dr. C’s sense of humor and I love how he and his expert staff give her a beautiful smile and keep her teeth and gums healthy! They are knowledgeable about the needs of a senior’s teeth as well as how to make her feel comfortable during her cleanings. Dr. C and his team are simply the best!

I’ve been with this dental office for over 20 years and as much as going to the dentist isn’t one’s favorite thing to do, this team puts your mind at ease from a simple teeth cleaning to the ‘dreadful’ root canal, which I must say a root canal isn’t as dreadful as people make it out to be. I have been seeing Dr Cocolis and Julie for my dental care for 12 years. They provide high quality and high tech care and services. As a self employed person, I appreciate the dental membership plan option to budget my expenses. Julie is the best hygienist I have every had. I hear alot happening however feel no pain! The whole organization is very courteous and professional. My dental hygienist is very friendly and thorough. She has a delicate touch and does not make mistakes which injure the gums. Dr. Cocolis is always very effusive and acknowledges when you’ve made progress in your personal dental hygiene areas. The support staff at the front desk are always friendly and courteous. Dr C is the best! He and his entire staff are warm, caring, and extremely professional in all aspects of the interaction they have with my wife and I and the care they provide. I go here as well as my 2 kids who started going at the ages of 2 and 5. They have always had the most pleasant of experiences with them and my kids actually say they love going to the dentist(actually true). As for me, I do not love going to the dentist however, but I feel at ease there and love that we make a plan to do a treatment and can adjust as necessary. Great place!!

I've been going to Dr. Cocolis for over two years at this point. Every time I visit, I like it more and more. Dr. C loves his craft and cares for his patients and it really shows. I've had fillings and cleanings done. I've been to other dentists where fillings feel like it takes forever but with him, it was over and done in no time. My dental hygienist Annie is very bubbly and kind and is familiar at this point where I'm sensitive and is mindful of those spots. She takes the time to get to know you so when you see her, it's like meeting with a friend for coffee and catching up. And before you know it, you're done! The front desk is some of the most helpful admin people I have met anywhere. Not only are they friendly but extremely knowledgeable. One advised me to switch to an insurance where I would save more money! If you need a dentist and you're in NOVA, I cannot recommend anyone better.

I was recommended to Dr. Cocolis from a fellow teacher after using other dental offices that were unwelcoming and another that said I needed almost every previous filling and crown replaced. Dr. Cocolis's office never ceases to amaze me. It runs like a clock, and everyone is so professional, courteous, and friendly. In this routine dental hygiene visit I just had, the hygienist was perfect beginning to end, and half-way through the session, Dr. Cocolis came to check my my teeth as expected, with his usual warmth and contagious smile -- you get a sense that all will be fine. Over the years, I had some serious work done on my teeth by Dr. Cocolis. His dental skills are extraordinary: no problem is impossible for him.

Great courteous staff, everyone from the front desk to the hygienist, to the dentist. Annie the hygienist is personable, puts you at ease, and knows the job. Dr Cocolis takes his time to listen, solves the issues, great bedside manner. It’s a joy to go see them. As a hospitalist doctor, I highly recommend them and drive the 40 mins to see them for my dental needs.

I was traumatized as a child with multiple dental procedures at other dentists. Pleasant and informative staff, can communicate answering questions and scheduling through SMS text which is conveienent, CT (panoramic X-rays) machine. Hygiene appointment from Annie discovered I had a infection in a crowned tooth that required a root canal done by Dr Sanams and follow up filling by Dr Cocolis. Root Canal was a very smooth operation, i felt the hole drilled was pretty conservative. it's my first root canal. I enjoy that the staff and doctors were very welcome and communicative in answering questions and describing what they were doing. Taking the time to walk through the X-rays of your teeth in a methodical way is appreciated.

I had been going to get an implant and follow up with Dr. Peter K, Cocolis for the past year. Before that, I had been doing a lot of research, and several dentists advised me that it would be too difficult because of my bone structure. Nevertheless, Dr. Peter K. Cocolis was very patient, caring, and most of all highly tolerable with me. I am so happy with the result that I had to write a comment. I had never written a comment on anything in 57 years. Well, that goes to show .. how much I am grateful to Dr. Peter K. Cocolis and his staff.

Dr, Cocolis explains every step he is taking and why those steps are necessary. This is also true of his staff of dental assistants. I can think of no way he can improve his services.

Another superb visit! Since the last visit, Dr Cocolis saved my tooth again. I chipped one of my lower incisors. and I was able to avoid a full replacement for now. Dr C was upfront and honest about my tooth but I appreciate that he keeps a close eye on these things every visit. He really stays on top of things when it comes to my teeth. This visit was a cleaning with Annie. My teeth feel so clean and imo brighter. She does wonderful work. She’s precise and steady, consistent, and never have complaints. We always have great conversations and I enjoy this fun, upbeat, and lively office.

Dr. Cocolis recently completed a tooth implant on me, and as per my past experience with him and his wonderful staff and my pocketbook, it only hurt a wee bit…... I’m joking! One thousand stars! 🤩 I was having dental issues without resolution which led to a dental emergency. My boyfriend suggested that I see his dentist (who he’s seen since he was a child) that was “REALLY good”. We called him and I got a 7am appointment the next morning. Meanwhile my dentist gave me a two week wait time to try the same procedure that already failed twice 🙃 We got to the bottom, discovered I needed a root canal and NOT a crown and now I can finally eat. Very smart staff who know what they’re doing and are very friendly and great to be around. 110% would recommend!

But here at the office of Dr. Cocolis I feel like a long lost member of the family returning when I come in. My spouse and I have been patients of Dr. Cocolis for over 12 years now. During this time we have had the best dental care we have ever received, including routine cleanings, fillings, crowns and implants. The practice is very modern and employs the latest available technology, and all proposed treatments are clearly explained. In addition, everyone is very friendly and professional. As for Dr. Cocolis, he obviously loves his work and is self motivated to only send a patient away after he is personally satisfied that he has achieved the best possible result. Because of the technology available at the practice, most procedures can be completed without referral to other specialists and can be completed in a single visit. Today I went in with a damaged tooth and left with a permanent crown. Everything was very comfortable and painless.

I had an excellent experience-- kind staff, modern equipment, very smooth and positive. Unfortunately this office is out of network for everyone, which means it is much more pricey, something I'll have to take into account moving forward. That being said, I was very satisfied with my experience and the work done!

As always, the office staff was inviting and professional. The assistant to Dr. Cocolis was informative and Dr. Cocolis himself is so knowledgeable in his field. He was able to fix my partial within minutes and it fit perfectly. Plus, I realized that I was missing an earring after I left and Jessie looked in the room where I was and even went further to look in the hallway outside of their office. Kudos to all!!!

The precautions they have in place from personal air space filtering that I could feel to Julie’s fastidious sanitization and careful dental cleaning were impressive. The experience was outstanding, and I look forward to working with Dr. Cocolis and his fine staff. Everyone I met at this dental office seemed highly experienced and competent, and they were warm and friendly as well. Judging by the staff with whom I interacted more than a minute, these folks also have senses of humor— an important consideration for a dental patient like me, who will likely have to spend a lot of time in that office. Dr. Cocolis and his staff are just plain wonderful! I am a bit anxious about dentists and doctors, and Dr. Cocolis and his dental hygienists (shout out to Annie!) do everything possible to put me at ease with their good humor, delicate touch and latest technology. I had my first filling at age 61 and was really anxious about it. Dr. Cocolis patched up two cavities so expertly and with zero pain. Zip zippity zip, nada pain. He talked me through everything, telling me about each step before he did it. FDR was absolutely correct: the only thing you have to fear is fear itself. Give Dr. Cocolis a call and you will be delighted and amazed with the results!

Dr. Cocolis put a new crown on one of my molars. He did a great job and even made the crown while I waited for about 30 minutes, which meant no temp crown and no need for an extra appointment to put in the permanent crown. The crown he made fits perfectly and I’ve had no problems with it. He is very professional and up to date on the latest techniques. I highly recommend him.

Dr. C and his staff of professionals always take the time (and sometimes extra time) to educate about what is happening and what the recommendations are for any type of treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Cocolis. Recently, I found myself in a difficult situation—we are in the midst of a pandemic and one of my crowns broke. I needed to find a good dentist asap. I turned to my church for help and received a recommendation for Dr. Cocolis. When I contacted Dr. Cocolis’s office and explained my situation, even though I had never been to their office, Tiffany went out of her way to work me into the schedule. I was very concerned about going to the dentist during the pandemic, but my concerns were put to rest when I experienced the measures that Dr. Cocolis and his staff have in place. When you arrive, you text the office from your vehicle, and they let you know when to enter. In addition, patients are screened upon arrival. I observed all staff wearing masks and gloves, and frequently sanitizing their hands and surfaces. In addition, I was offered the opportunity to use hand sanitizer throughout my appointment. I was also given a special mouth rinse. In my opinion, every effort is made to keep patients safe, and that is important to me because I am at higher risk for complications from COVID. The dental work Dr. Cocolis did for me is exceptional. When I compare the quality of my new crown to the previous crown that broke, there are major differences. My new crown fits perfectly and is a much higher quality. We have been patients since Dr C opened the practice. He is the best and the whole team is wonderful. They are all exceptionally professional and create a warm and welcoming experience. Dr C is the best dentist ever . He loves what he does and he is a perfectionist. The office and methods are completely safe in this time. We moved to MD but we still come to Dr Cocolis.

Everything! Dr. Cocolis was extremely patient and knowledgeable. His staff was efficient and helpful. The most important thing I will always remember is that he was kind and diplomatic. He did not make me feel embarrassed or guilty 😊 about the amount of dental work I need to have done. Thank you!

Five stars all the way around- from the reception staff to the hygienist. I’ve had some terrible experiences in the past with recommended offices, not the case in this instance. Always greeted with a smile and polite demeanor. Very friendly and professional employees who will assist/explain w/any questions or concerns you may have. My experience was truly first class- my hygienist Annie (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) was very informative and performed a gentle, pro level cleaning while explaining what she was doing and why. Also gave me some helpful tips on how to get me through this restorative process w/out worry! I am so happy I was referred to this office. You will not find a more caring and professional staff anywhere in my opinion. Do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment w/them you will not be disappointed. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff. 👏

Really great and professional team. I'm really hard to numb up but they always make sure I'm totally comfortable before proceeding. Prices are reasonable and the staff is responsive. Just wanted to follow up and say that Annie our hygienist was so great with our toddler. It's so great to be able to send the whole family to the same dentist!

My experience was great as always! Julie did an amazing job with my 3 year old son, she explained everything thing and allowed him to be involved in his dental cleaning. Tiffani at the front desk was so sweet, she gave my son extra paper and markers for coloring while we waited. Tiffani also informed me about the Dental insurance offered by their office when I explained to my reason for paying out of pocket, she was also very knowledgeable about PPO, vs HMO. Dr. Cocolis was very nice as always. The staff is always very kind and present with smiling face at every visit!

Having been to a few different dentists in my area and having terrible experiences- I can tell you this place was fantastic! 5 stars all the way. From start to finish staff was super professional and extremely attentive. I explained to them my past issues and that I was very anxious about getting the help I need w/out getting hurt again. They made sure my entire experience was first class. They’ll also make sure you’re as comfortable as you can be. Dentist explained even the smallest details about my problem and gave me several options. This was especially important to me, this is not your neighborhood Rt 1 dentist. These ladies and gentlemen are the best of the best. I will proudly be a new customer as long as they’ll have me 🦷 Thank you so much!

I have never been a fan of the dentist as most people aren’t.... but from the moment you walk in to Dr. Cocolis’ office you immediately feel at ease and are greeted by the friendliest receptionists. As for the dental hygienist’s and Dr. Cocolis himself, I guarantee you will not find a better team! They are gentle and soft spoken and patient. They walked me step by step through the procedure and even held my hand when I cried from the numbing shots. I highly recommend this office and as long as I live in this area I will ONLY see Dr. Cocolis. I am no longer scared when it’s time for my appointment, and I look forward to the friendly faces and conversations I know I will be waiting for me when I arrive. Our family loves this dental practice. Doctor Cocolis has been our family’s dentist for 15 years. The team is friendly, caring and professional. The dental hygienists do thorough cleanings and are great with kids. Dr. Cocolis is engaging and cares about his patients. He keeps up to date on latest developments in dental care, communicates clearly and does a great job informing you about treatment options when you need dental work (or just want some elective work to perk up the pearly whites). The office is spotlessly clean and good protocols are in place to ensure the patient experience is both comfortable and hygienic. I love this office from time I walk in with them calling me by my name. When I first starting coming I had to take meds to make me feel relax and calm. Now I can go without meds and sweaty hands... On top of them making me feel totally comfortable, I think I have a crush on my cute dentist (Dr Peter Cocolis ) 🙂

New patient visit. Outstanding. Clean, bright office. COVID protections and protocols in place and not overburdensome. Greeted and mamas to feel at home by the front desk staff. Dental Hygienist was great! Set me at ease and moved through her work with precision. Dr. Cocolis is thorough and professional. Great personality! Loved the whole practice.

My daughter and I just had a great check up with Dr. Pete. We felt completely at ease in the office. All the extra precautions they are taking were explained step by step. Looking forward to our next visit. I’m so grateful for Dr Cocolis and the staff. Not only for the great care that I have received over the years but for how gentle and caring they treat my daughter. Today she told me how happy she was to have such a good dentist that takes such good care of her teeth.

New procedures along with their usual attention detail and hygiene made my recently visit a very comfortable experience. The staff and Dr. Cocolis are wonderful! I’m one of those people who feel fear when going to the dentist , but this office made the effort to make me feel comfortable and well taken care of from the time I checked in until I checked out. Dr. Cocolis is a person that helps ease your anxiety about going to the dentist and has a great chair side manner with his words of encouragement . I went to Dr. Cocolis’ office shortly after they reopened from the statewide Covid-19 shutdown. They have a very detailed and comprehensive safety plan in place, and I felt extremely comfortable even though I am in high risk category. They have thought of every little thing, from sign in to check out. Tiffany and Caitlin at the front desk are fantastic- they have no-contract check in down to a science, while still exuding friendliness. Julie, my hygienist, explained every step (and why it was different, if it was) as she went along. She is terrific- my teeth feel great! And of course Dr. Cocolis is a very jovial and meticulous dentist who doesn’t miss a thing. All in all, I’d say this office has safely down pat- I highly recommend them!

Dr. Cocolis has been my dentist for over 15 years, and I have never been disappointed with his work. He and his staff are always friendly and very helpful. I suffered from TMJ; he fixed the problem....no more pain. Strangers on the street have stopped me and said how pretty my teeth are; all due to Dr. Cocolis.

Highly competent and personable staff who thinks of everything! COVID protections are everywhere and very comforting. Even the pen to sign my bill was wrapped in plastic! Comprehensive care includes latest technology for pictures/xrays, etc. and friendly banter with familiar staff who have been there for many years. Recommended!

I am very pleased with the level of care I receive from his practice, where I have been a patient for nearly five years. I Recommend his practice highly!

The office fit me in last minute because I was in extreme pain in the entire top left of my mouth. I was afraid I might need an emergency root canal or extraction or something worse it hurt so much. After checking my mouth and taking xrays to insure there were no tooth issues he gave me antibiotics. It is a sinus infection of some sort and I will follow up with my medical doctor. Today, the next day, I can say the antibiotics are already starting to work and my pain level went from 10 to 3.

Dr. Cocolis and his team are all highly professional in the work they do. From checking in at the Receptionist desk to the dental hygienists to Dr. Cocolis and his colleagues. Everyone is friendly, procedures are thoroughly explained- including billing. Questions are answered, sometimes the same one, as in my case, as many times as necessary. And I personally like to hear the play by play as the work is being done. I’ve been coming to Dr Cocolis for 10 years+ and have no plans to change. I highly recommend this doctor and his team if anyone new to the area is looking for a dentist.

From the moment I entered I was welcomed and treated with respect. Everyone who works there is a member of the team, and the dentist was clear to credit the hygienist with catching something he had not seen. Front desk and those doing insurance paperwork were thorough and well informed. Excellent treatment all around.

Dr. Coccolis is a very competent dentist who loves his job, and loves his patients. He is quick, gentle and attentive to his patients. His staff are also friendly, informative and mindful of their customers needs. I highly recommend this practice. Not all Insurance will cover the higher cost dental work, but it's worth spending a little extra for this quality service.

I won’t trust any other northern Virginia dentist except Dr. Cocolis, and his excellent staff, when it comes to my teeth. Even when there is “bad news” regarding my dental work, it turns out to be “good news” in the long run....x-rays don’t lie. So, in the near future I will write another review after my upcoming tooth extraction and implant. I have total faith and confidence in the skilled “hands” and “knowledge” of Dr. Cocolis — one of the reasons he was voted as a “top Dentist” in the November issue of “Washingtonian” magazine. I have been with my dentist located in Falls Church since I was a preteen (over 20yrs). He was/is great. But I wanted my family to be under one practice and moving further south (Prince William) it was a hard commute. In the DMV area there are many dentists to choose from. I was referred to Dr. Cocolis and was timid about transferring to another dentist. But again, having my own family and wanting us all to be under one practice, I thought let me give Dr. C a try and I scheduled my daughters first dental appt. She was 4yrs old. From the time we walked in, to the time we said good-bye I have never felt more welcomed and comfortable. My daughter is now 6yrs and I have transferred not only myself, but now my husband to Dr. C. And trying to get my mom too! The ENTIRE STAFF is amazingly friendly, knowledgeable and confident with the level of service provided to each of their patients. I could not be happier taking the leep. 🙂

Professional, quick and reliable dental office. Never had a bad experience and they are honest. Never had them recommend unnecessary procedures unlike other dental offices that try to get the most out of you. Been a regular here for years and now my 2 yr old is too. Just wonderful with kids as well, quick but also takes the time to let them know what's happening. Really can't say enough good things about the staff entirely, receptionist, dental hygienist and doctors!

Having avoided the dentist for 10 years, it was with some trepidation that I had to see Dr. Cocolis for a broken front tooth. My wife refused to be seen with me until I had it fixed! We've been married for 60 years so I guess you can figure out why I landed in his office. My fears were unfounded and the experience was quite tolerable, painless and successful. I received a temporary crown and will get the permanent one in a few weeks. I would definitely recommend Dr. Cocolis and his staff for anyone, even the faint of heart.
